Individual Therapy

“The quality of relationships determines the quality of our lives.” —Esther Perel

I specialize in helping adults who are working through difficult life transitions and find themselves struggling with depression, anxiety, or loneliness. I often work with high-functioning Gen-Z students and Millennial professionals and creatives. Here are some of the issues many of my clients are facing:

  • Struggling to navigate relationships after a recent move to Austin or Texas

  • Going through a painful break-up or divorce

  • Feeling lonely and wanting more connection and a sense of belonging

  • Battling a “quarter-life crisis” or other life transition

  • Questioning purpose despite accomplishing professional and personal ambitions

  • Feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, stressed out, and in survival mode

  • Wanting to make changes, but being unsure where to start

I take a humanistic, compassionate approach and know that we all encounter deep emotional pain and loss. Sometimes we all need a little help. It’s how we make meaning and grow from emotional pain that can be fulfilling and empowering. In sessions, we’ll use humor and creativity to explore self-compassion and vulnerability.

Addiction Counseling

Addiction is a disease of isolation. Our brains use substances to feel different, cope with loss, and survive trauma. Addictive patterns and behaviors exist in all of us. Substance abuse can affect anyone regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic class.

I take an integrative approach in treating addiction by focusing on healthy body, mind, spirit, and connection with others. I take a nonjudgmental approach in recovery work and recognize that it is a personal choice to decide if reduction or sobriety is the right path for you. I have also witnessed the awesome transformation clients have experienced with the freedom of living a life of sobriety. I am inspired and honored to support their healing from addiction.
